Reflection : Heart of Yoga Weekend 2026
Thank you to everyone who joined us over the Heart of Yoga long weekend 2026!
The Heart of Yoga weekend this year was a wonderful celebration of Agama Yoga Centre, the teachings of our Krishnamacharya tradition while providing an opportunity for our far reaching sangha of teachers and students to come together.
We begun each day with beautiful sunrise classes, before learning about how yoga and osteopathy can come together to support womens health. We explored why we keep coming back to yoga and what it is that draws us into regular practice. The yoga sutras were a focus as we reflected on the 8 limbs, and how these keep us grounded through our practice and our lives, and what we ask of ourselves and our students when we land on the mat. Vedic chant, linking in with Ayurveda and yoga as a transformative tool helped round out our weekend.
We closed with a beautiful Vedic chant sound bath, led by our senior chant teachers, and enjoyed by all.
Thank you to all our beautiful presenters and to all those who made the effort to come from both near and far. Some photos from our lovely winter weekend celebrations are below and we hope you enjoy looking through them.
Join us for Barb’s final workshop weekend in November before she hands the reigns over to Fiona Hardie, to continue to offer Agama as a space for reflection and traditional practice.
